Mobile Devices Make Up 1 / 4 of Paid Search Spend inside the UK

Mobile devices account for twenty-four.5 per cent of total paid search spend and 27.8 per cent of total clicks inside the UK, in line with a report from Kenshoo. While smartphones account for 11.5 per cent of search clicks, they simply make up 7.8 per cent of spend. It is a similar story within the US, where smartphones account for a slightly lower nine per cent of clicks – but, crucially, for just five per cent of ad spend.  Tablets fare a lot better in both markets. As a matter of fact, their share of ad spend (16.7 per cent) narrowly exceeds that of search clicks (16.3 per cent) inside the UK. Ny Times updates mobile guide app with new content

May 30, 2013 The Big apple Times has updated its Scoop mobile application with content from New York’s new Citi Bike program. The Citi Bike share program was recently launched. Only Eight Per Cent of SMEs have a Mobile Site

Just 8 per cent have a mobile sitePrint ads are still the preferred kind of marketing for SMEs, a report by Pitney Bowes has found, with 40 per cent saying it’s portion of their marketing mix. But another 48 per cent of SMEs say that traditional marketing now accounts for 10 per cent or less in their marketing spend. Email is now the second one premier marketing activity done by 37 per cent after which Facebook at 26 per cent. Washington Post Media segments polling industry news with mobile app

May 15, 2013 The Washington Post Media’s Capital Insight group has launched a mobile application that bundles news from the polling industry to let consumers quickly access content. The Poll Watch app is obtainable without charge download from Apple’s App Store and Google Play. Apps have played an immense role in shaping the Washington Post’s mobile strategy before few years. “Poll Watch is good for journalists and anyone who desires to stay on top of public opinion research,” said Jon Cohen, general manager and polling director of Capital Insight, Washington. Tumblr Launches Mobile Ads

Tumblr has become the newest social network so as to add mobile advertising in its iOS and Android apps. Tumblr has taken the commonest approach with the introducing sponsored posts from advertisers – six partners to start with, including Pepsi, Warner Bros and General Electric – which appear inside the user’s feed, and might be liked and reblogged.  These posts are clearly marked with a dollar sign logo, but otherwise appear intended to blend in as neatly as possible, with a spotlight on pictures, including Tumblr’s trademark animated GIFs.  The sponsored posts has been appearing at the desktop site for almost a year, but it is the first step Tumblr has taken to monetise its mobile offering, which has seen its usage quadruple within the last six months.
