Next-generation Huawei LTE Handset Launches on EE

EE is launching the UK’s first CAT4 4G enabled device, the Huawei E5776 WiFi, ready for its superfast network, which matches live in June. Until now, CAT3 handsets just like the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE were the only real handsets on offer and had peak download speeds of around 100Mbps. In the event you just can’t wait that long, CAT4 devices are in a position to reaching 150Mbps. Real Simple marries mobile and print via image recognition

February 20, 2013 Time Inc.’s Real Simple is placing mobile at the guts of a recurring front-of-book section that uses image recognition to bring static pages to life. The scanning technology is being rolled out within the March issue of Real Simple. Digimarc is powering the technology. “We took the proper of the genuine Simple magazine and layered on interactivity to bring digital to print,” said Kathleen Major, managing editor of Realsimple.com, Manhattan. “We need to give the reader an experience that’s not a one-and-done,” she said. “Sooner or later we are hoping to have scan technology where the URL is similar, however the content might change everyday. “In terms of the experience from a design perspective, design is so critical to Real Simple and we would have liked an experience that felt seamless. Amazon Patent Explores Anonymous Mobile Payments

A new patent published within the USPTO has revealed that an anonymous mobile payment platform is inside the works for Amazon. The platform is computer-implemented and enables the transfer of electronic payment between a consumer’s mobile device and the merchant without the necessity for disclosure of non-public information.  According to claims cited within the filing, a number of configured computing systems will receive a payment message via a number of mobile payment servers, inclusive of the quantity to be tendered. The payment amount is reserved in an account linked to a provider, and a redemption code is transmitted to him/her. Once the provider communicates the redemption code to the recipient, the payment could be redeemed through a number of mobile payment servers. Self has rolled out a mobile application that uses image recognition to bring static pages of the magazine to life. Moneris Partners with LightSpeed for Integrated Mobile Payment Solution

Canadian payment processor Moneris Solutions Corporation has partnered with software company LightSpeed to give Canadian merchants with an integrated mobile payment management solution. As per the agreement, Moneris will provide a payment processing system that’s integrated with LightSpeed’s POS and retail management tools.
