U.S. Bank Launches Mobile Payment Service

U.S. Bank has partnered with Visa, DeviceFidelity and Datacard Group to launch a mobile payment service for its BankFlexPerks Visa customers in Salt Lake City, Utah and Portland, Oregon.

The U.S. Bank Go Mobile service will enable customers to pay for purchases using either the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4 S at participating Visa payWave retailers.

U.S. Bank customers who qualify for the service can opt-in to receive a personalized U.S. Bank Go Mobile iPhone case equipped with NFC capabilities. The case also contains a battery that extends the phone’s charge time over 50 per cent. The NFC case enables consumers to just “wave” their phone at checkout to make a purchase order.

“We have incorporated each of the feedback we now have received from prior pilots and our customer research into this latest offering and we’re excited to give U.S. Bank Go Mobile in these two markets,” said Dominic Venturo, CIO for U.S. Bank Payment Services.
